Representation & Diversity in Blockbuster Movies

• Objective: Explore modern trends of representation, diversity, and perceived "wokeness" in blockbuster movies 

• Process: Semester long iterative process with my professor including ideation, exploration of quanitative and qualitative research approaches, and development of project culminating in a presentation and white paper.

• What I learned: Diversity and representation has been a highly popular and divisive topic especially in pop culture. Many forms of content are integrating and emphasizing diversity and representation, movies and blockbusters being a prime example. The existence of both successful and unsuccsessful movies with diversity, representation, and inclusion may point to these factors not making or breaking a movie, but other factors may be necessary for further consideration.
