I am a Turkish-American who grew up abroad in Turkey and attended an international school, where I was immersed in a diverse environment of cultures, backgrounds, and beliefs. This exposure shaped my perspective and taught me how to collaborate with people who view the world and learn differently. At 18, I moved to the United States to attend Purdue University, where I majored in Brain and Behavioral Sciences and minored in Philosophy, focusing heavily on research in the domain of Cognitive Psychology. During my third and fourth years, I worked on a major research project with my mentor, solidifying my passion for research and inspiring me to pursue it further, leading to where I am now.
With only one semester left within my Social and Consumer Psychology Master's program at NYU, I am in search for positions related to consumer and market research. The master's program has equipped me with in-depth knowledge about the market, as well as the application of Psychology and research methods within the consumer industry. In addition to my studies, I have been working full-time as a Research Assistant at an advertising research company for the past year. During my time as an RA, I worked agency side with major established media brands, gaining technical skills and industry experience. With my academic journey nearing its end and my future in the industry just starting, I am excited to see what the future holds.
